Yorkshire Pudding

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 ml salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Fats and juices from a roast (Or sunflower oil)
  • Fried crispy bacon bits
  • 1 small tin sweet corn


  1. Pre-heat oven to 230'C
  2. Sift together flour and salt
  3. Gradually add the milk
  4. Add the well beaten eggs and whisk for 5 to 10 minutes
  5. Cover the oven pan with some of the roast dripping
  6. Heat the pan well in the oven
  7. Pour a 2.5cm thick layer of the batter into the fat and bake for 30 minutes
  8. Cut into squares and serve



I normally use a cookie tray to make indivisual yorkshire puddings...
